Missing Forceware drivers after restart or sleeping

right this is my dilemma

hmm im having problems again with my gfx drivers.

everytime i install em and restart all is good. when i restart the comp again for the second time.. rivatuner says no forceware drivers detected. even though in the nvidia panel it says it is installed.

i tried to run 3dmark 06 again and it says a .dll file is missing and crashes

tried to run 3dmark vantage and says this program has stopped working visual C++ runtime error.

hmm im not sure what is wrong.?

after reinstalling drivers and restarting again all is well again. but as soon as i go into sleep mode or restart again forceware drivers dissappears.

i try to start any application that requires the gfx and all i get is a d3d error. or some file is missing.

ive used most of the new new signed and unsigned drivers.

im running vista x64 with SP1...

mine is too. i cant bench with it anymore either. i reformatted my pc and im not sure but i think it limits the download to only one time. i think it remembers the ip addy, so if u hv to download it more than once on the same pc i dont think it will work. anybody else have this problem?

nah my problem has got nothing to do with 3dmark. i can make it work again if i reinstall it.. the problem stems from a driver issues or vista being a pain and not loading the drivers during start up.

lol ok. kool. i have re-downloaded it 3 or 4 times and cant seem to get it to work though. looked for any and all traces of the old file and deleted it. keeps saying some crap about a missing .dll file or something...

yep it says the same thing too for me.. dx93d_28.dll missing.. but its there in windows/system32 folder. grrrr.. but when i reinstall it it works again..

until such time that the comp goes into sleep or hibernate mode.. and farkks up grrr

lol. i hear ya. bought re4 yesterday and installed it and wouldnt play. was missing files. had to go into the dvd files and install some directx stuff. works now. maybe i should try that with 3dmark also. hehehe laterz...

I have seen issues like this with a lot of software. I would usually find the solution for the specific software on its community support forums. I suggest checking that out.... they usually provide you with the missing files, which you download and place in the correct directory. I am not exactly sure what causes this to happen, but I am guessing it is an OS bug or poorly designed software. Anyhow, I hope you find what your looking for :).

yeah i agree. i really do think its an OS issue. maybe some of them arent designed to run on a 64bit system...i dunno. but occasionally you do find patches for games that resolve those issues. i remember after i got this notebook and installed command and conquer 3 it would not let me play it on this notebook till i installed the patch. worked ever since. cant get c and c zero hour to work at all though. this bites, cause i loved playing it especially with all the mods i did to the INI files. lol would love to get it to work though...laterz

...and yeah i too have been tempted to place my 9262 on the spare pillow next to me also. hahahaha
