Hello,
At least a few times a week after a reboot, installing new software, or just general gaming, I'll notice that Vista 64 Ultimate no longer recognizes my X-Fi Audio Notebook card when it is plugged in. I'll reseat the card but nothing pops up, even the normal plug and play loading menu in Vista. I'll reboot the laptop but nothing happens either. I end up uninstalling/reinstalling all of the Creative software so it works again. Does anyone know what I need to do to stop this from happening? The card works great when playing games or listening to music. I have no idea why the card then just "disappears" and is no longer recognized. The laptop reverts back to the Realtek HD audio option and I can't get it to recognize my original settings/hardware.
Any ideas or help?
