Hello,

I've been using my G73JH-A1 for a while now and I'm very happy with it. However there's one small "issue" that popped up recently...

In the last week or two, when I play any sort of game the GPU would go to ~94°C (When the fan speed increases noticeably). Earlier it would never reach the point of the fans kicking in this loud, usually maxing out at 89°C.

What could cause this, should I be worried?

Just curious.
How long have you had the machine?
Have you updated the GPU drivers recently, and if so what is the driver version?

I've had the machine for just over a month and I have updated my drivers during the first week to 10.6 Catalyst, which was reported as stable at the time.

The problem started occurring when I began playing World of Warcraft for the first time on the machine.

Apologies for the double post but I did notice one more thing - I use y widget to monitor GPU usage and temperature, GPU usage never goes above 0%, and temperature quickly rises to 92-95°C when I play anything... Seems like a driver issue?

I would be checking to see if Y widget was right with a couple other things. Like AMD GPU clock tool and possibly one other of your choice to verify the results.

Then troubleshoot.

I actually fixed it. Went to the device manager and updated the driver via the Windows automatic tool... Now the GPU usage correctly shows at the widget and the temperature doesn't go over ~82°C
