Synaptics Touchpad Drivers

Synaptics TouchPad Pointing Device Drivers have been updated to version
15.1.9.0 in both 32bit and 64bit.

Most laptop's use these drivers for the tochpads.

Many notebooks including Asus models use the Synaptics touchpad pointing device

If you use a regular mouse it's sometimes better not to install the touchpad driver unless you use it's functions.

Everytime I boot up, the touchpad works fine but only for a few minutes. A box comes up saying: "Your TouchPad has been disabled because the Synaptics TouchPad driver has detected another pointing device plugged into your computer." My laptop thinks that it has a mouse plugged into the PS/2 port (it doesn't),

I had problems with the Synaptic drivers from their website on my G73-JH. Gave me .exe errors so I just installed the factory drivers from the asus website. If that helps anyone...

For the F50SF v14.0.1.1 is on the Asus site

For the G series models it's version 15.1.8.0

Once models are discontinued or newer models are released Asus is very slow to post new drivers for the models or doesn't update them at all.

Sager uses the Snyaptics Touchpad.

MSI uses both the Sentelic and Synaptics with most of the ones shipping today using the Synaptics.

My MSI GT780DX received at the end of November has the Sentelic Touchpad.
