I'm waiting to pull the trigger on a purchase because I'm waiting to see any Black Friday deals. Anyone have any idea what to expect from Xotic on Black Friday? Should I wait? Thanks.

I can't even remember if Xotic does the "Black Friday" game? I frown on waiting in general with tech because it is never ending. Buy what you need when you need and buy what best meets your needs in budget. Waiting never ends. That said there are some exceptions. Clearance items might do very well on BF.

FREE-is the best deal unless it's a clone of something I threw away after collecting dust for a long time.
Fire Sale/Clearance-usually best deals of past generation products
1 Day Sale-Trying to panic you into buying something you don't need
Specials-Things nobody wants and a dealer is stuck with inventory they'd like to move without taking to big of a hit.
Cash Up Front-never a good idea
Black Friday Sales-buyer beware

I saw they did free shipping on all laptops once.

free shipping would be nice. I live in Asia so shipping hurts

Actually, that deal might be only for continental US customers. Black Friday is a US thing anyway.

The last 5 Black Friday's have been spent sleeping in and letting people more qualified and motivated than I carry the torch!!! Last year a long lost Uncle had a T-giving party we all went to and had a veritable blast!! We plan on doing the same this year. This Uncle lives 60 miles south of Chicago and I live less than 2 miles from a major, popular and LARGE shopping mall..........do the math!!! I am going to the sticks on Black Friday!!! There are no deals worth putting up with the traffic, people, etc that can't be had any other time of the year!!!

Thankfully a lot of places are starting to pull away from the norm and are doing Black Friday deals on other days.
I rarely do any shopping that day. I've seen some good deals in the past but it takes something absolutely amazing to get me to consider dealing with that type of chaos.

Engadget is reporting that TJMaxx and Marshalls will be offering a $100 discount on the iPad this Black Friday, November 26 2010.
I'd like one from Santa even though I'm not an Apple fanboy.
The company that owns both stores hasn’t announced which locations will have the tablet.

New iPads for $100 less than they cost at Apple? or Best Buy.How can that be?
Among the possibilities they note is that perhaps Apple produced too many and wants to clear out inventory before the iPad 2 comes or, on the other hand, Apple wants to lock up the tablet market before the Android Tablet market truly leaves the station.

Yeah, it would be nice if one of the Android ones had a discount like that.
Sounds like the Tab isn't that bad. I'd probably still hold out though.
