I just got my system today and LOVE IT! Man what a system!

I noticed however, that advertised, the system is supposed to come with Azalia HD 7.1 Audio (8 Channel) as specified on the specs for the system. However, the system has a default RealTek 5.1(6-channel) audio card built into it.

Is this not supposed to have the azalia chipset...? I've got 7.1 speakers and would really like to put them to use

On a side note:
Running the NV Monitor or System Information in the nvidia control panel with nTune installed causes the system to BSOD. I've used the CD drivers, the latest Sager Drivers, and even a modded driver from laptopvideo2go, and they all still crash the system. Overclocking also does not work. When I try to increase the clock speeds, it reverts back to the standard 500/800mhz. If I lower the clock speeds, however, they seem to take that. I can't pull the VBIOS to upload for review either. Nibitor doesn't seem to recognize the presence of the hardware. Also tried making everything work with the three different drivers, and two full OS reinstalls. Running Vista x64 Ultimate SP1. Plugged into AC and on High Performance Power Mode. Could this be faulty hardware? I've attatched my minidump file from the blue screen. Is Overclocking not allowed on these systems? I got better speeds on my old system with the 8800M GTS overclocked... and that didn't have near the cooling system this does.

I don't know the sound chip issue as I have yet to receive my laptop.

I do know that the GPU drivers that came with your rig are the only ones that do not down-clock the GPU, so far. So get rid of the newer GPU drivers and re-install the old ones.

There have been issues of not having the full functionality of the nVida software before, it is in here somewhere. Some people have found software that works with it, again it is here somewhere.

You should PM Oregon Coast Gamer as he has the same rig and has tested most everything there is out there for it. With his help you should be able to get on the path to a fully functional rig.

Maybe he could post a sticky with the answers he has found and save us all a lot of trouble?

Well I've managed to get a few things going on it. Still get the Blue Screen Of Death, but I've gotten the hardware to clock to 650/1500/1900 with new drivers 175.80 and a lot of tinkering. 3D Mark 06 of 10,050! Not too bad if I say so myself... Don't know if anybody is into the OSx86 hackintosh program, but if so, anybody get the wi-fi working?

Anybody on that Sound Card issue?
