i just received my sager np7280 days ago, the laptop is in perfect condition, and all the files i had in my previous laptop only took less than an hour for file transfer. That also includes the win7 64 bit OS and drivers. it was amazingly cool, the only drawback is the eventual noise as the load changes, but it is not enough to bother me. they are not noisy that comes to the point that is already annoying. I usually play games with earphones. The keyboard takes time to get used to. Before i was deciding between sager np7280 and asus g73 series, im so glad i selected this one, true there's no backlit keyboard, but im only after the raw performance. looks are not important because if i do gaming, im looking at the screen, not in the whole laptop itself. so superficiality is not my issue.
I tried using 480m in SLI, and i could clearly see the fps increase in BC2, metro 2033, dirt 2 and other dx11 games i have in FULL settings and full 1080 res. I had no regrets buying this, i have 24 seconds boot time and everything is good to click. The exterior finish is in good bezel. the screen is nice to look at. and gaming is always top notch. i did some tests in fraps and definitely had a significant increase using SLI. there's no heating issues, i knew it was soooooo yesterday's news, in full load i only had 70-80 temps in SLI, in single card even lower 60's. even there's mass explosions my rig can still handle the frames. nice! those games are played in native resolution. all stock drivers. no updates yet.
Overall, i was thankful i made the right choice on buying this one.
This baby is one heck of a beast. I am a proud owner of sager np7280. You really get what you pay for and for me what i expect is 3x the notch! i've been an enthusiast for years and my eyes for fps are way sensitive that i could spot even a nano hickup. and this is one package i wanted. Thanks to Xoticpc for a solid transaction! I want to thank Hutsady for assisting me throughout the transaction, and Heidi when going the overseas delivery.
