My np9262 won't boot from the disk drive.

Hello, I am having a problem downgrading my laptop's OS from Vista ultimate 64bit to 32.
I have the recovery disks for both 64 bit and 32 bit, but neither are working (I tried the 64 bit CD to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with the CDs).
My laptop just won't boot from my disk drive, and I've gone into the BIOS and changed it so the disk should be checked before my hard drive.
I have even tried starting it up without even checking the hard drive, but still no luck.

Can anyone help me with this?
I really want to downgrade my OS.

Was the dvd drive working fine in windows prior to you wanting to downgrade the o/s?

Yes, I have been able to use the drive for everything except booting from it.

Are there any settings that could be interfering with how my laptop boots up in the BIOs other than just the boot list?

you have to set youre settings in youre main menu on your slager profile to run cd first mang. and any troubles i can try to help lol
