Hi I am considering purchasing a laptop from xotipc. But what is holding me back is the service and support if something were to go wrong. you see, although I am in california right now, I travel quite a bit and can spend months in other countries. If for example, the HD or LCD failed when under warranty, shipping the laptop to the US can be very expensive. If Xotipc can cover the cost, I'm sure you will have more international customers. Perhaps a more cost effective solution is to allow the customers to change the HD/LCD themselves. Not sure about LCD, but HD should be easy. Is this being done right now? Do the failed devices need to be shipped (= money) back to xoticpc?

International Warranty

Xotic PC will provide service for any International Order at our US Service Center. Shipping is paid by the customer both ways for any DOA or warranty repair.
Xotic PC will repair/replace the machine at our US Service Center anytime during the warranty period.

If for example, the HD was to fail you can ship the hard drive back instead of the whole laptop which would save you a significant amount of money and replace it yourself :)

Still the shipping cost can kill especially with multiple component failures over time. I had a bad experience with HP. HD died. I sent it back and they sent me a new but wrong one (IDE/SATA confusion). Later on, LCD failed. Fedex back and forth summed up to a huge fraction of the laptop. One far-fetched idea: If xotic PC can assign repair facilities in other countries to either verify a failed component or conduct actual repairs, that will be GREAT. Main idea is to cut down on shipping... no reason why we should let fedex make the money. I rather give a fraction to xotic.
