I showed our IT guy at the office the lappy I ordered and he looked at every item on my config. He's cynical and he likes a challenge and I bet him what I ordered will beat anything he comes up with. Later he came to me with one he found on the Dell website thinking it was a better deal for the same thing. He showed it to me and all I could do was laugh. It was $1100 and maybe half the power and goodies as the Force 3298 V2! After tax and shipping it would be $1200, for half a lappy? No thanks.
Out of curiosity I went on to the Dell site and configured a lappy as close as I could to the one I'm getting from XoticPC. I found the Force 3298 V2 to still be superior in the screen with better resolution, graphics card (double what Dell could offer), Wireless ability (G card vs Intel Pro 802.11a/g/n) and warranty and support. The Dell also did not have the option for a card reader. Plus no graphic design opportunity on the Dell. All other parts were exactly the same (I think, they could also be low quality versions). Dell warranty is 3 years "limited" parts & labor with 24/7 phone support. Phone support only good for 3 years and no mention of being "free". I've dealt with them before for my mum's PC and they are awful! Plus one is forced to take Vista with a Dell....yeech!
The price for the Dell? $1800 with rebate!!!!!! OUCH! Overall the Force 3298 V2 was at least 25% more superior than the Dell and far less expensive.
I did this because it highlights how much better and wonderful XoticPC is, even just out of the gate in what they offer across the board. It also shows that you get a lot more bang for your buck with XoticPC.
Yes, now I have been asked to bring in my lappy and show the IT guy when I get it. I didn't want to do that, but he's left me no choice. :) Plus I will win the bet hands down! I'm hoping to at least make him turn his head. I don't think I can get "jaw drop" out of him. We'll see.
XoticPC is the best no matter where you look! :)
