I just keep looking at the 8150 and 8170 and I can't decide whether they have a silver-brush look or a cheap plastic grey look.
I have decided to withhold my 2,000$ purchase until XoticPC decide to take their own shots and not rely on some icon-sized stock photos.

I am sure they will be happy to. Might even make a video once they are actually released.

I hope so, but so far all I've been told is "Those are the photos Sager give us."
Which is really not a good enough answer considering the price of the purchase and the fact that they readily have the laptops on hand and can take as many photos as they wish.
I don't even know why they choose to post the stock photos. They have a small amount of items and they should do their own photography.
I'm sorry for the rant.
And btw, the video was nice, but if it's not 1080p it's impossible to notice the fine details.

They don't have the notebooks on hand. The notebooks are not even released yet.

No, no. I mean any notebook; even older ones. Notice that none of them have pics larger than 400x400.

Later when released click on the picture of the notebook not customize. About 4 options. Other than specs "video" is a choice. That might help. Yes it would be nice to have more photos of the real unit for all of us. In this case lets wait. I get your point about spending a lot of money and wanting what you want.
Good luck. I do hope it looks good to you. I do know what you mean I just have never bought a high end Sager so can't help so much. The case is not all that different from other Sager's so maybe others can give a better idea?

Yeah, I just can't stand mainstream names like ASUS.
Sager just gives people what they want - FHD screen, customizable performance, no fuss controls, varied ports, etc.
But they have shitty photos and I wish they'd do something about battery life.
I am not happy with the fact that no XoticPC representative has responded to this thread. I doubt anything will happen at all.

I have to agree that Xoticpc's pictures are not that great. A 360 degree feature would be the bomb, though. A zoom feature is a must. And could we have a few more pictures, at the least, to go on? I mean, sometimes it's hard to even tell if a computer is black or silver.
Just a thought :)
Everything else they do is great though. I guess even the little things get under my thin skin sometimes...

AFAIK the 51XX series is going to have optimus, so they did do something about battery life there.

what exactly would you like them to say to you? We have stock photos because that is what is provided at this time. Would you also like them to charge more on their laptops because you don't actually like shopping online if you can't basically "touch" the laptop online, so that makes them revamp their entire website for a couple people?
All you have done is bitch about not having photos exactly the way you want them. How about you provide some idea of what works for you then?

I couldn't agree more with this thread. Why can't they just tell us what the case of each laptop is made with in addition to providing the pictures. I find it quite ironic that I'm looking to spend a couple thousand bucks and I can't even determine what the laptop is made out of. LOL.
