i've asked this at NBR, but thought that xoticpc forums would be a better place to throw this question, as i've already ordered from xoticpc and awaiting for my lappy! (: here's the original post:
"hello.. I've ordered a 9262, but have just realised that the power rating might not fit where I am now.. I'm in singapore.. and the laptop's from USA.. does that mean that I need to get a different PSU or something like that? how do I go about this issue? I'm not sure if it'll work in singapore or not.. but if it doesn't.. can I change PSU or something like that?? thx."
basically, i'm not sure if the PSU supplied can take Singapore's 230-240v or something like that.. heard that the socket head is US, so when i get a converter to covert it so i can use it in my house in SINGAPORE, do i need to make sure that the converter converts my voltgage/watts thing? or just to get electricity flowing to the PSU and let the PSU do EVERYTHING ELSE?? because i'm halfway across the world, i wouldn't want my precious lappy to have anything bad happen to it, especially after all the hardwork and dedication put in by the people at xoticpc!(and thx xoticpc.. (: i'm currenly at phase 2, and i'm bursting with excitement.. just wanna know, what are the last few phases and roughly how long does each phase take? ty!)
