Do Sagers/Clevos not support any other SSDs except Intels (as primary drive) or is there another reason that nothing else (Crucial, Samsung, etc.) is available on the customization pages for upgrades?
Thanks!

Our Sager models currently only offer Intel branded SSDs because Intel is the main supplier for the Sager facility we order from. Since Xotic PC is in Nebraska and a different facility altogether, that's why ASUS and other laptops have other SSD choices. We do offer customers the option of getting an SSD from us, but there would be additional shipping and labor, which is usually around $60.

So is it possible that while purchasing a Sager, you could keep the original drive and install another SSD in its place, on request?

It's probably best right now to order the Sager with the stock primary drive.
I haven't heard any info on when Intel will release their new SATA III SSDs
Then next month purchase a Crucial C400 when they're released.
The C400 should be cheaper than C300.
Clone your existing drive onto the new SSD or do a clean install of your OS.
Hard drive is a hard drive as far as your computer knows so long as its the same connection.

I am not sure I understand the point you're making here? All hard drives are not created equal if that is what you're saying and if not I just don't get it.

Ah, sorry. You got your post in before I did.
I was "Uh... what?" in regards to the jibberish he just said.
Sounds like a bot! *grabs a rope*

OP asked: "Do Sagers/Clevos not support any other SSDs except Intels"
I just said that as far as your computer is concerned a hard drive is a hard drive, so long as the plugs match up. Having a pc that only supports certain vendors would be some sort of evil new exploitative DRM scheme like what Microsoft does with Xbox 360 hard drives.
