Hey all, simple question.
Are there any plans for Sager to release an 18" Sandy Bridge notebook?
Cheers

Have the 18" notebooks been popular enough to warrant a SB? I'm sure it will in the future, but for now I wouldn't hold my breathe. Most people who are in the market for a laptop are looking to carry around with them, an 18" is almost guaranteed to be left on a desk. I know for me personally, the 17" is as big I would want to ever have to shoulder. And that's why 17"'s are getting them now, and 18" maybe 2 or even 3rd Q this year or 1st of next.

The JW is 17.3... It *just* fits into my backpack for when I travel.
18 would require much larger backpacks, but I doubt there are many out there as of now.

if that 18" is a serious performance and packs a lot of punches inside, i don't mind carrying that at all

I don't think a 18" would be a great idea. Maybe that's the maximum size they should build.
If you get, let's say... 20"... is it really considered a "laptop" anymore? Because you're not going to be able to have it on your lap anymore. Would be way too heavy and awkward to keep stable. But you'll certainly have more hardware capabilities, and a true "desktop" replacement would be possible.
