I ordered an NP2096 last Saturday and am super excited to receive it (hopefully this week). In the mean time i've been doing the usual obsessive scouring of the web to find anything NP2096-related.
One thing I've seen mentioned quite a bit but never explained is the Wow Video and Wow Audio buttons. I know they've appeared on previous Sager models. Can somone please tell me:
1) What are they for?
2) How do they function? Are they configurable?
3) do they work or are they buggy?
Thanks in advance for your answers.

Here's a link or address to a full review on the sager2096: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsid=3882
The Wow Video and audio are basically quick function buttons, if you will. I think they are designed for quick access to configure your video settings and audio settings.
The wow video audio buttons are as far as i know not customizable you get small utility program called WoW Video Audio it has several different settings for your screens gamma and color settings and for you sound settings as well.

So they're just dedicated buttons that allow you to quick launch the audio and video settings? They're not buttons for launching players or anything? That seems weird. What need was Sager responding to by putting dedicated settings buttons on to their computers?

With what I've been able to uncover so far I guess it makes it quicker and more convienant to get to your settings on the fly instread of clicking several icons. I'm just guessing with this. There simply is not room on a lappy to have a keyboard with launch buttons for all your apps like you can get for a desktop PC. If you will be using you lappy in one place most of the time like at home or in an office you can just get a desktop mutlimedia USB keyboard and plug that in and your set. (That's what I am doing because I can't type on lappies anyway).

lol I know what you mean but they are cool because they are not like regular buttons :D I use them just because they look cool when I touch them :p And yeah I prefer desktop keyboards too because they have more buttons and I can position them to my liking:cool:

Same, I use a desktop keyboard as well as an external monitor.
I like glowing things :P
