Hi folks,
The title says most of it. I am a willing buyer for a working i7 system with a DX11 graphics card. I'll pay significantly more if the specs are right.

Here are the minimum specs I'd consider:
Core i7 720QM (I'd prefer a mobile CPU, but would consider a desktop i7 if the price was right)

GPUs (from least desirable to most): Nvidia 280m, 285m, 460m, Radeon 5870m, Nvidia 470m 480m, 485m. I would pay significantly more for SLI or crossfire configurations

Screen: Any 15"+ as long as it's 1080p min res

I'd love an ASUS G73 or similar. Anything with purple lighting gets $100 extra automatically. My ceiling price is about $1800, but I would want a lot of computer for that price.

Please feel free to pm me or message below if you've got a system you're interested in selling. I'd also love to hear if I'm being unreasonable--flame if you must... :wink2:

One more thing: I'm looking to buy this weekend. That's between now (4:40 EST on Friday, Feb. 4 and Sunday, Feb. 6 at 7pm. Have a great weekend everyone!

Follow-up: I realize that the Nvidia 280 & 285m are not DX11 GPUs, but I'm still willing to consider them.

Why? You can buy a brand new system with all of these things for just a little more. So why would you spend that on a used system?

Fair question. To be clear: I'm looking to pay about $900 less than the retail price of a new system. For example, if you had an alienware mx17r2 with crossfire that costs $2700 new, I'd offer you $1800 for it. An Asus G37-A1, I'd only offer about $800 for (unless it had purple lighting, or an SSD or something). Does that make more sense?

I should add: am I still being crazy?

Yes, at least that is what I think. Others may disagree but I am not understanding why you would want to do that.

Not sure what an Asus G37-A1 is? But I wouldn't sell you my G73JH-A2 for $800. I don't think that is a great offer. I think at best it is market and to buyers favor.

You know what I will buy G73JH-A1 for $825, do I hear $850?

But good luck you might find what you want.

Newegg had a special on what they called a recertified G73JH for $910 but is now out of stock.

Yeah, that was a pretty dumb typo on my part. I should have just said a G73 and been done with it. So, let me reiterate (and up my price slightly): I'll pay $850 for an Asus G73--or significantly more, depending on which version it is.

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday...

My final update on this thread: I am now out of the market for at least a few months, as I've decided to hold off on a laptop and buy a new Radeon 5870 for my currently-broken desktop instead. I figure I'll just use that until this sandy bridge mess blows over in a few months. Hopefully by then, Xotic will either have an Asus G73 with a mobility 6970 GPU, or will have figured out how to put purple lights in a Sager.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions, everyone!
