Hello, this is my first time posting. I recently joined this community after I purchased a G53 from XoticPC back in November. I purchased the G53 JW-A3. I ordered it with the optional 2nd HDD. I bought this on the Black Friday sale, and the laptop still hasn't came in due to the delayed shipment of the HDD bracket.
Is anyone else in this situation? If so, what do you plan to do? Keep waiting? Cancel order?
I do have some suggetions/feedbacks but I will save that for another thread after I receive my laptop so the feedback is based on the whole experience rather than parts of it.

I know that there have been other threads on this and what it appears others are doing is asking for the laptop to ship without the 2nd HDD and just have them ship it to you once they become available.

Keepers right, if you want your laptop sent to you without us installing the second hard drive, send an email to verifications@xoticpc.com with your order number and a request to have us send the drive without installing it. We'll put you on the list with customers waiting for the second hard drive brackets and send those when they're available.

I thought of that idea when I ordered. I asked the sales rep whether I should wait or ask XoticPC to ship laptop first. The answer wasn't really clear and I was told the estimated date would be in december. Then it came to January, no news... I e-mailed and asked and still no confirmed date.
If I knew it would take 3 months, I would have asked for separate shipment.
I sent an e-mail yesterday asking why there has been no words after 3 months and suddenly there happened to be a small shipment of HDD bracket and I was promised to get one. So I guess there is no point of asking for separate shipment now.
