Asus G2S Questions

Starting a new thread for this:

1. does the G2S's 8600 GT turbo cache like the G1S?
2. Can XP MCE be subsituted for Pro?
3. Do i get the native Asus software (Vista Etc) in edition to the XP?
4. Can the LCD panel be checked for defects *before* it is shipped to me? I really dont need a 1 year guarranty/waranty if it has the asus waranty. Plus this would avoid XoticPC having a prompt return =-)

The video card has 245MB on boards and Turbo Cache's. I am sorry we will not put XP MCE on this system. You will get both softwares when purchased. It can be checked from the start.

I assume you mean 256 megs on board? And just out of curiosity, is the XP MCE exclusion technical, logistical, or managerial in nature?

The XP MCE is strictly managerial in nature for its availability.

What if one pays extra for XP MCE? (I know its a pain in the @ss 47 step install process with 16 DVD's)

I am sorry we cannot install the MCE Version. You can purchase it yourself and install it if you would like? :D
