I was searching for updates on G73SX 3DE and found that the G74SX is anounced.

Seems to be promising.

It looks nice and easier to upgrade memory and HDD.
I like its big keyboard.

Did anyone else order yet? I got all the default settings except:

No second hdd (will build my own SSD into it)
Bluray player instead of writer

I cant wait, I owned the g74sx-a1 ...but I returned it because I thought it would be 3d capable but alas, it was not. So after a painful refund process with I actually pre ordered the 3de unit from , but they wont have them till August 22nd.

Good luck all on your pre-orders I will update you all when I recieve it :).

I just ordered mine off of <other retailer> and they arent taking pre-orders they actually have the units in stock. They have 9 more left if people are interested in getting their laptop by the end of next week.

I cant wait, I owned the g74sx-a1 ...but I returned it because I thought it would be 3d capable but alas, it was not. So after a painful refund process with <yet another retailer> I actually pre ordered the 3de unit from <a third retailer>, but they wont have them till August 22nd. So seeing that I found the 3de at <first retailer> I thought heck yea I will get a week earlier so I am pretty amped! :)

Because I am not doing anything wrong. I have a sig that says what I have, it doesn't take customers away from this company, especially since I purchased it here. I also have directed many people in the sales threads with this very sig on buying MSI and Asus products. Thanks for your concern.

Oh my god finally! Mine hasn't been shipped yet though :( But at least now I know it will be shipped soon. Was there a shortage of 3D screens or something?

Building of my laptop started 10 days ago, so I hope it will be finished today :) Everything is taking a very long time :( But I'm still happy, it will still be the best laptop around here when I finally do get it in a week or three.

I received mine two days ago :) I was surprised at how quickly it shipped from xoticpc to the netherlands. It barely took three business days. I haven't had much time yet to play around with it. My mistake was installing some annoying games in the beginning (GRID en Dirt 3). I wanted to play Deus Ex first but it doesn't support 3D vision and I wanted to test that. Anyway at the moment I'm having bsod after bsod since I opened Dirt 3 so I'm trying to fix that first.
