I was on the config page for the NP9262 today and notice that the Q9450 was gone and this is the one I order for mine new NP9262 that am waiting for it the 9800m gt to get back in stock.. So my ? is, Will I get upgrade to the Q9550 now or to do they have some stock left of the Q9450?

My question is a little rhetorical but I just want some clarification. I am in the same situation that Badday17 is in. I as well order (Aug 5, 2008) my P9262 with the Q9450 so dose that mean I will be upgraded to the Q9550 as well?

Yes EVERYONE with the Q9450 will get the Q9550.

... that's a great question! that would've been enough savings for me to get the GTX vs gt! :(

Sorry I must of have missed this thread. :( In this case if you purchased the upgrade to the Q9550 you would get the Q9650 at not charge.

When did this apply? I ordered on the 8th of August with the q9550. I would have ordered the 9650 but it hit the websit a couple days after I ordered. I would have called to change it but I was under the impression that it would delay my order. Did I get automatically upgraded to the 9650???? order#6970 : )

It depends where your order was at in testing when the Q9650 was released. For those that had paid for the upgrade after the release of the Q9650 (which then forces each processor below it to drop one level in pricing) would get the Upgrade to the Q9650 at no charge. (it is the same price to go from the Q9450 -> Q9550 as now Q9550 -> Q9650)

I will look into your order tomorrow AM and find out where your order was in regards to the release. I will update you here once I confirm. :)

Thank you kindly. Im happy either way. It shipped monday or tuesday so it'll be here in Afghanistan in a few days. WOOT!:D
