Thread: Question about NP9150 vs NP9130

Default Question about NP9150 vs NP9130

    Hey everyone,
I'm a new poster, and i'd first like to say i've been impressed with these forums and how helpful everyone is. That impression is what prompted me to ask this question here.

i'm interested in the sager np9150 or the sager np9130, and i'm curious about the differences. It seems that i can get a very similar build, but the 9150 ends up being $150 more.

What exactly is that $150 buying me?
From what i can tell is it's just the backlit keyboard and a larger power supply? is that it?

I also noticed that the 9130 only has the one option for a video card. Does that imply it wouldn't be user upgradeable?

Copied the two builds below for reference.
    Thanks for your help.

Out of the two, you would want the 9150. It is upgradeable. I also has two fans, one for the cpu and one for the gpu, which I consider a big plus if you're going to put your machine under stress. It also has a backlit keyboard and the option to upgrade to a Steel Series keyboard. On your wireless, I would suggest that you consider upgrading to at least the Intel Ultimate. Stock wireless cards are not very good.

I was uncertain whether the 9130 had two fans or not. Still, I would go with the 9150 because it is more user upgradeable.

User upgradable, backlit keyboard, offers the options to have Sager upgrade to the higher GPUs, Two fans, bigger power adapter on the 9150. Pretty sure that's everything.
